Here at Fast Fix, we understand
the need for a highly efficient and effective storage
and transportation system for the scaffold material.
The storage yard has been designed in such a way
to maximise the ease of which the materials can
be sorted, racked and stacked. The companies storage
yard has a vast concreted hard standing on which
the forklifts operate, loading and unloading material.
Every effort has been made to minimise the need
for manual handling across all areas of the business,
thus improving efficiency. To this end, the larger
of the lorries on the fleet are fitted with a Hi-Ab
crane to assist in the loading and unloading of
materials on site, which eliminates the need to
wait for the site forklifts to assist, speeding
up the delivery and collection process and alleviating
congestion on busy and space restricted developments.
All the components of the system are transported
to site in specially designed stillages and pallets,
which in turn can be lifted by crane or forklift
directly onto loading bays, concrete slabs or oversites
etc, again greatly reducing the manual handling
involved, and speeding up the erection process.
In addition, the company has smaller 7.5ton lorries
and a small fleet of vans, all of which can be utilised
to carry components for small works and alterations. |
