Safety is of paramount importance
to Fast Fix, the safety of those carrying out the
scaffold and all subsequent users. As one of the
leading specialists in system scaffolding in the
South East, Fast Fix pride themselves on their highly
trained work force. All operatives of the company
undergo rigorous ongoing training with the emphasis
on continuous improvement. All scaffolders are fully
trained and highly experienced in the specific use
of 'Layher Allround' scaffolding and are capable
of erecting even the most demanding and complex
scaffolds to suit any requirement in the safest
and most efficient manner.
Fast Fix erects each scaffold to the highest safety
standard. Every scaffold is erected using pre-formed
aluminium staircases in lieu of ladders as the means
of access and egress from the structure. These are
supplied and installed at no additional cost to
the client, as they are included within the standard
erection procedure. The implementation of a bespoke
CAD system enables each and every scaffold to be
fully designed prior to erection, ensuring that
the finished scaffold structure is of the correct
nature for the specific application for which it
is intended.
Every operative is issued with a full set of the
correct personal protective equipment before they
begin working for the company and these are checked
for conformity on a regular basis, including hard-hat,
high visibility tunics / jackets and toe protective
boots. Prior to commencing work, each operative
undergoes the appropriate training in the correct
use and maintenance of a fall arrest safety harness
and lanyard, and are then issued one for use. It
is the companies policy that all operatives wear
these at all times during the erection, adaptation
and dismantling of scaffolding.
All of our operatives are managed and trained by
competent and highly experienced supervisors and
regular checks are made on each to ensure that the
highest safety standards are being adhered to.
The company holds regular 'Tool box' talks to discuss
new or innovative methods of erection and dismantling,
to ensure and enhance the efficiency and safety
aspects of the business. The company also employ
an external health and safety management team (Fieldside
Health And Safety Management) to keep us up to date
with the latest legislation and regulations which
in turn enables us to implement the continuous improvement
of the workforce. |
